Tips and fixes for IRC related trojans/virii

Script.ini was the name of mIRC's default script file, which made it an easy target for attacks. The trojan by the same name will echo all your conversations to a monitoring channel and allows others to issue IRC commands through your mIRC client, such as to take over your channel. This mIRC trojan can be fixed simply by upgrading to the latest mIRC (5.51 or later) or by typing the following on separate lines in any mIRC window while you are online:

1. Type /unload -rs script.ini in your mirc
2. Type /remove script.ini in your mirc
3. Type /sreq ask in your mirc

MYPICTURE.BMP.VBS Virus Removal Instructions

1. Download mypicrem.zip and unzip it
2. You *MUST* close (QUIT) mirc for this to work.
3. Once unziped double click on mypicrem.vbs to Run it.
4. Let it run.
5. Restart your computer.

2. You *MUST* close (QUIT) your mirc for this to work.
3. Once unziped double click on nolinks.vbs to Run it.
4. Restart your computer.

profiles.ini Virus Removal Instructions

1. Download rem-profiles.zip and unzip it!
2. Place rem-profiles.mrc in your mirc folder
3. In mIRC type /load -rs rem-profiles.mrc
4. In mIRC type /rem-profiles
5. click YES
6. Let it run.
7. Restart your computer.

movies.mrc Virus Removal Instructions

1. Download and unzip movie.zip!
2. Place movie.mrc in your mirc folder
2. In mIRC type /load -rs movie.mrc
3. In mIRC type /movie-rmv
4. click YES
5. Let it run.
6. Restart your computer.

.jpg.bat Virus Removal Instructions

1.Download and unzip batrem.zip!
2. Place batrem.mrc in your mirc folder
2. In mIRC type /load -rs batrem.mrc
3. In mIRC type /cleanjpgbat
4. Restart your computer.

DMSETUP.exe Virus Removal Instructions

1. Download sysdmfx.exe!
2. You *MUST* close (QUIT) your mirc for this to work.
3. Double click on SYSDMFX.EXE to Run it.
4. Restart your computer.

Allrem.vbs Fix

1.Download and unzip allrem.zip!
2. You *MUST* close (QUIT) your mirc for this to work.
3. Double click on allrem.vbs to Run it.
4. Restart your computer.

Love-Bug Fix

1. Download fixlove.exe!
2. Close all programs (Including mIRC)
3. Double click on fixlove.exe to Run it.
4. Restart your computer.
