Firstly a reminder. NEVER accept files from people you do not know. If you do accept files, even from people you know (your friend might not know the file has a virus), always scan them with a virus scanner before using the file. If your client is setup to auto-accept files, turn this off. If you have been banned from the network due to infection by a virus or Trojan or just happen to have found one and need a little assistance, we recommend that you install a virus checker. If you already have one, we suggest you update to the latest definitions to detect and remove the virus or trojan from your computer. We also have some tips and downloads to fix common virii and trojans found on IRC. Click here for more information. If you were banned for distributing a trojan or virus or because an IRCop recognized that you were infected, once your system is clean email kline@ctcp.net to have the ban lifted.
